No, you do not. The app is available to you at no cost. If you prefer to read all of the content and assignments on paper, you can order the book and booklets at our store.

In developing this app, we decided to use a technique called Progressive Web Apps. This technique offers the user, that is you, a similar experience to using an app, but at lower cost and at more flexibility. You can install this app just as you would with any other app, but you just go to kickstart.es.thelastreformation.com instead of an app store. These kind of apps are not present in the app store yet, but may well be in the near future.

The app offers you all of the lessons of the Kickstart Package, their video lessons, interactive quizzes, personal note taking features, free outreach resources, inspirational videos and more. Best feature of all? That could well be the fact you can cast each lesson to your tv or other bigger screen. This way you and your fellowship get to enjoy all of the teachings together. Awesome, right?
App use questions
The first step in each lesson is to watch the video. If you’re connected to the same wifi your Chromecast is, you will see a cast icon at the top right corner of the video player. Hit it, and the video will be played on the screen that’s connected to your Chromecast. Thus, steps you need to follow are:
- Buy, borrow or install a Chromecast streaming device.
- Ensure your Chromecast streaming device is on and connected to the SAME wifi.
- Open the Kickstart Package app on your phone & select the lesson video you desire to play.
- Play the video & press the «cast icon» in the top right corner of the video player & select your device.
Click the menu at the top left corner of the page. Then click on My Reflections. All of your previously saved reflections are stored here. From here, you can download and/or edit each one of them.
You can download each individual note and send the file (pdf or .doc) accordingly. Selecting (parts of) your note and sharing the text only will work as well.
Yes, you can! Either click on the preferred lesson in the dashboard and go from there. Or click on the menu icon at the top left corner of the page and hit Kickstart Package. From that page you’ll see all that’s available within the Package.
The app uses linear progress, so you do need to finish the lessons in order. You cannot go from L01 to L04 for example; finish L02 and L03 first, then L04 will be available.
Our Kickstart Package app makes use of a push notifications feature. These notifications are the type of notifications you’ll see at the top bar of your phone, in the same way you see instant messages come in.
You cannot change the frequency of these push notifications. You can however opt out completely of these type of messages. To do this, click the menu at the top left corner of the page and hit the notification bell at the bottom of the floating menu.
