We were in a very dangerous neighborhood (a drug infested area) and spotted a car creeping along toward us with 2 men inside. We were immediately under watch as we stood out like sore thumbs, we’re either cops or crazy! They parked and the passenger limped into a store and we approached the driver. He was receptive to us and we asked if he needed any healing. He said “no, but my friend has a bad knee injury.”
When he returned we asked if we could pray for him and he immediately said “Yes!”.
Standing in the parking lot we commanded healing to come and instantly Jesus healed him! It is so wonderful to see the expression of people when Jesus touches them! We witnessed of Jesus to him and he was very receptive. Then the Lord gave us words of encouragement to the driver about being a positive leader to the many young men wandering around the area. He knew in his spirit that he had “natural” influence with the community and would be readily accepted as a father figure.
Again, the Lord emphasized to us the need for discipleship to raise people up.
